Position Overview: The Membership Development Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to attract, engage, and retain members. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to the mission of the Chamber. The ideal candidate will be proactive, results-driven, and capable of building lasting relationships within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive membership development plan to grow the Chamber's membership base.
  • Identify and engage prospective members through outreach, networking, and community engagement activities.
  • Manage the membership application and renewal process, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all members.
  • Develop and implement member retention strategies to maintain high levels of member satisfaction and engagement.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date membership records and reports.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling membership materials and campaigns.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices to continuously improve membership development efforts.
  • Work with Operations and marketing staff to coordinate events


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in membership development, sales, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of the LGBT community and a commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of achieving membership growth and retention goals.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and membership management software.
  • Experience in event planning and coordination is a plus.
