Join Birdhouse Books and Gifts as we learn about censorship and book bans in Texas from three middle grade and young adult authors committed to fighting against them.

Students will lead this conversation where we will dive into topics like: 

• How do books get banned? 
• Why is access to all types of books so important? 
• What type of books are most frequently targeted for censorship? 
• What are the wider implications of book bans? 
• What can we do to fight against book bans in Texas and nationwide? 

Tickets are free and there is an option to make a donation with your RSVP. 

50% of donations will support the Texas Freedom To Read Project.
