“Coming Out of the Liquor Cabinet” is more than a mocktail class — it’s a brave, affirming, and elevated workshop where we explore how alcohol intersects with identity, mental health, and community. You’ll leave with new tools, delicious non-alcoholic beverages, and a deeper understanding of your relationship with drinking — no shame, no pressure, just presence.
Nervous about coming solo? That's totally normal! I guarantee you'll connect with welcoming people from the moment you arrive.
Explore the masks we wear, and why alcohol is often one of them.
This workshop is co-facilitated by Ricky Waite, LCSW and Scot Maitland of The Elevated Bear, bringing together therapeutic insight and sophisticated beverage design to support those reimagining their relationship with alcohol.
Whether you’re sober-curious, neurodivergent, in recovery, or just tired of pretending seltzer is enough, this space is for you.
You’ll start with guided reflection on how and why you drink, and how masking, anxiety, ADHD, and social pressure often play a role.
Then, you'll learn to make two signature Elevated Non-Alcoholic Beverages (ENABs) using premium ingredients and The Elevated Bear's Four-Pillar System — the same systematic methodology that created The Dickens NYC's permanent menu success.
